I don't usually use spraypaint...but this upcoming mural has larger spots that will need lots of same color (and no access to a generator for airspray guns)...so rather than spend time with brush...I want to spray the first layers on...and use for outlining too this time. I thought I'd try on smaller area first...it's small enough I could repaint if I needed to...but didn't...because it was a success!!! I will definitely be keeping this technique for the big mural in a few weeks.
After watching these vids...and my mouth dropping at how many times my arse is in clear view of camera ayayay apologies...was a bit difficult with camera so close (old iphone I use for pics/vids no cell, I like my brain), but I really dig the whole time lapse idea.
Artist, Anne Provost and I are going to redo a painting of hers during a 3rd Friday in Makawao, into a larger size along the building, for people to see when they drive by. The idea is to start on opposite sides and meet in center shake hands and walk away, the end. Can't wait to paint again with Anne, she's so mellow and easy breezy.
Also, can check out Annes artwork inside the new Fleetwoods on Front Street!
These time lapse vids are a first also for me. Its exciting to see the start to finish on a design and I can show clients more easily, exactly what I can do. After working with Anne that day, I started to think about artists collaborating on more murals for more causes. Got message? We can blast it to the world for you...and show everyone how we did it using the time lapse now!! Or use more canvas and more muralists to create an even larger message.
Anne and I were literally discussing ideas for murals that I've never seen done before. I can not wait. I want to do more interactive art too and Anne explained how....Source. Maui's version of Burning Man...it's supposedly an unreal event for artists. A place to create using any medium, element, sound, scent, the skies the limit...
no...the alternate universe is.
When artists get together and powwow...much like painting; seconds can turn into hours. And it does when I'm visiting with Anne. We discussed voice activated art, layered art, sculptures, 3D murals, glo murals, functional art, sustainability, ecosystems, etc..and we even discussed aliens...no not my illegal ancestors...the distant parallel universe...the possibility of human race as an alien nation. I know. I couldn't believe some things I said were actually from my own lips, aliens?? c'mon. But let's think about it for a second...that possibility people won't fathom. Saturn, Pluto, Mars...all planets...and Earth? yep, us too...we call people things from other places "aliens" so why not us? We are from a planet in (another) universe right?...what if "Heaven" was really the next universe we transcend into? I know, crazy shith. But I like the idea of the possibility...and I'm not afraid of discussions that expand our visions into hypothetical concepts
...the what ifs fascinate me.
I think that's why I am attracted to intelligent men...looks are nice, but I want to learn and keep learning from someone. I saw a post on facebook about blond hair blue eyed people being from alien lineage...now that was a trip...I can believe I once married an alien...hehehe...seriously, think about all the things our government has tried to cover up? Can you believe they got us to pay to live on land that was there long long before they were? and I don't know about anyone else, but as for me, I have this question concerning homelessness on this planet...why??? We have incredible engineers an overflow of recyclable materials, enormous amounts of land...and technology that's faster than a speeding nutra bullet....so why homelessness? Maybe because power is a dangerous message. Well, thanks to Google and the internet...the cats not getting back in that bag. Education is key. Read. Read. Read...even if everything you read isn't neccessarily true or correct...that's ok. At least you've been introduced to the movement, the vision is a matter of manifestation. The new best kept secret is your ability to keep it secret. We are in a world now that is deciding to share & link, heal themselves, and lead the healthiest lifestyle imaginable. We want to know what's in our foods, what's in the factories making our foods, who's packaging the products, everything. Now when there are "secrets," we tend to wonder why and seek answers...to share...and link to our friends we continue to add...in hopes they will follow us...or tweet insta-ly...ok, that's enough punts for one evening...I'm sure you get my point; our youths are moving towards unity, helping eachother make a bigger statement...I am so excited for this planets future...because even if it's all going to crud anyway...no prob, let's do what we can to sustain what we have left and teach our "secrets" to eachother asap, before it's too late.
