"The Dark Room" $$$ SOLD!!!!!

This painting was the first in years, I was up all night getting this out on canvas. I wasn't sure about using black because usually waves are all about the blues. But a giant wave is like a monster that can eat you alive. The red dot on the face brings the viewer in closer to the dude going big...and the only glimpse we ever catch is this tiny being who is charging harder than he ever has...hoping praying he makes it out of the darkest room of his life. Big wave riders go big or go home. Which is why I have big respects for the handful of men in the world who can ride gracefully on a stick with the beasts of the sea. Fucking awesome.
