40"x 20" acrylic on recycled wood, original artwork by Mishel Narvaez
This piece took some time, its worth much more to me but I painted it on a pressed wood with border so I wouldn't need to worry about framing it. I haven't sealed it because I want to add more DOTD (Day of the Dead aka dia de los muertos) dudes to the painting. This piece is one of many DOTD style paintings I love to create. I am working on another one that is my take on the famous Creation of Man...only its called "The Dead Creation" of course! (**This piece will be twice as much because of materials used; acrylic on metal $900**) I googled around to see if anyone else is doing what I'm doing recreating famous artworks in DOTD stylee...and nada!! There are allot of DOTD artworks, but none have popped up yet of 'the last supper' or 'the creation' in DOTD stylee...post here if you find any por favor! My other DOTD in progress is "Mona Dead" can you guess what it is?
