WHEN "THE NET" MEANT SUSTAINABILITY & ABUNDANCE....NOT HESITATION & INVASION. 

About to begin my sketches for the HFUU Convention. I finally have what I want to say with paint. I want people to gaze and engage with an interactive mural idea I have!! After hours of searching online for the pics that grabbed my attention, like the one above. This pic spoke to me when I saw this ancient fisherman doing the same gesture I see locals doing...some for a living...and some to live. It says that we can sustain and thrive on our own determination and efforts. I have more pics that I know will go well with my story telling mural, stories of; revolution, offerings, warriors, waterfalls, surfing, hula, geodome structures, aquaponics, tree of life, permaculture, and local farming. I also plan to add the King and Queen to represent old Hawaii...when we knew what was in our foods...and were expected to be self sustainable...the good times of Hawaii...old Hawaii.

Lately, (as you can tell in my recent posts) I've been more and more passionate about sustainability and my right to grow my own food. I am eager to learn about creating rich organic soils for my gardens...but more importantly, maybe because I'm older (let's just say 40-ish), I've been anxious to educate people on my new findings.

Recently, I spent some time in Kihei with a dear artist amiga whom I look to for encouragement with my art when I'm having bad days. She stays at my hale overnight or I stay at hers talking for hours about art and her permaculture designs. And we decided we want to create an online location where people interested (like me) and people that are advanced in their education with permaculture can click on and see what we have found or updated...and maybe they can use the info to help their own gardens or maybe just to bring a smile to their face with the info we will offer. Wanna know what the web address is? Are you anxious to get informed?? Well, we just purchased the domain so the website may take a few days...but we like the name----GARDENPARTYMAUI. We are not with or support the republican, nor democratic party....we are in support of the Garden Party (;   We will be offering permaculture design workshops, video presentations, links & reading research lists, contact form, and anything and everything we can find about organic soil & sustainable resources.
